-Only lay tents on appropriate surface that is as level as possible, with nothing protruding such as sticks, branches, rocks and other sharp objects.

-Always use footing or tarp underneath tent.

-Be sure tent (and fly if in use) is securely fastened to the surface using pegs, rope, or for harder surfaces make sure you use discretion when using things like rocks to hold ropes down.

-Make sure all poles are properly attached to tent clips.

-Be cautious when using zippers not to pinch the tent fabric and that all zippers operate smoothly.

-Avoid putting tent directly on water.

-No smoking in tents.

-Keep away from fires.

-Do not have more people in tent than it is designed for.

-Do not stuff tent back in bag. Instead lay on flat surface with all parts and roll/fold to appropriate size to smoothly place back in bag.
